A small amount of Syrah and Cabernet Franc were added to the blend in this vintage to enhance the aromatic expression of this noble grape variety from Bordeaux. Fermented in stainless steel with wild yeast 80% of the wine was matured for 14 months in French oak barrels. There was no stabilisation, no clarification and a very light filtration prior to bottling. The Cuvée Alexandre Cabernet Sauvignon is an intense deep red in colour with expressive and intense cassis and black currant aromas. The palate is elegant with round and persistent tannins, fresh cherry and light toast flavours.
